Scheduling a pickup is easy! Simply visit our Rug Donation Form Page and fill out the form with your details. We offer porch-side pickup from London, Ontario to Ottawa.
What types of rugs can I donate?
We accept all types of rugs, provided they aren’t excessively damaged, delaminated or stained. If you are unsure about your rug, please contact our support team for further assistance.
Is there a fee for cleaning the rug before donation?
Yes, an affordable cleaning fee is applied to ensure your rug is in excellent condition for donation. This fee helps cover the cost of our professional cleaning process.
When will I receive my tax receipt?
After we clean and assess your rug, we deliver it to Furniture Bank. They will then send you a charitable tax receipt for your donation, typically within a few weeks.
How does the charitable tax credit work for a rug donation?
The tax credit you receive will be based on the rug’s appraised value after cleaning. Once the cleaning is complete, the rug will be appraised, and both the cleaning and appraisal will be used to determine the charitable tax credit issued.
What happens to my rug after I donate it?
Your rug is cleaned, assessed, and then delivered to Furniture Bank. They then send it to a family in need, helping to create more comfortable living spaces.
